Absences and Tardies

Stratton School uses SchoolPass to manage our Attendance and Visitor Management.   If you have not yet downloaded the SchoolPass App, please reach out to Kiela Lyons ([email protected]) to resend you the invitation.
SchoolPass is the new Student and Visitor Management System we implemented at Stratton School. Please click this Link to learn more
If your student will be absent from school or tardy, please alert the school office before 8:30am. SchoolPass is the best way to alert the office of your child’s absence or tardy, or you may also call the "Safe Arrival Line" at 781-316-3767. You must notify the school office every time your student is going to be absent or tardy. Emailing your student's teacher as well to let them know is very helpful, but you must always alert the school office.  If your student is going to be tardy, we will change their absence to "Tardy" once they arrive at school. Students are expected to be in their classroom ready to begin their day at 8:00am.   Any student arriving at school at 8:00am or later must be signed in at the office before going to their classroom.  If your child arrives at school at 8:00am or later, please bring them into the office and sign them in on one of the 3 iPads in the front office.  Once signed in, your child will take a late pass and head down to the classroom on their own.  Once signed in, your child’s absence will be changed to tardy.
If your child is marked absent and the office does not receive an absence notification from a custodial parent or guardian, you will receive an automated phone message from the district notifying you of your child’s absence.

Early Dismissal

If you need to dismiss your student from school early, please let the teacher know in advance.  When you arrive at the school to pick up, please come into the main office to sign them out, we will then call your student down to the office to be dismissed.
